学术预告：朱华星研究员谈“From quark to hadron through the lens of energy correlators”

报告摘要: Scattering at high energy collider such as the LHC produce quarks and gluons. They then transist into color neutral hadrons through a poorly understood hadronization phase transition process. We propose that the history from quarks and gluons to hadrons can be studied using an ancient observable called energy-energy correlator (EEC) and its new variant. I will explain what we understand about EEC and what we don’t. I will also show applications of EEC in precision measurements and probing spin dynamics of gluon. 

报告人简介： 朱华星，2012年博士毕业于北京大学，2012年至2017年分别在SLAC和MIT从事博士后研究，2017年至今任浙江大学研究员。他的主要研究方向是量子场论，量子色动力学和对撞机物理。迄今在国际期刊发表论文60余篇，其中12篇发表于PRL，总引用3000余次，曾获得2020年度的求是青年学者奖。
